Let’s Add More Color

Is your rented space feeling a bit drab and uninspiring? Don't worry; we've got you covered with some simple yet effective ways to inject color and personality into your room. Let's dive into the art of introducing vibrant hues to your living space. These are some of the go-to strategies we use to bring color into a space.

Artwork

We consider art a form of visual motivation. If you're like us and love to explore the world, then your home can be a canvas of your adventures. Why not print out your favorite travel photos and create a captivating gallery wall that tells your story? Personalizing your space with memories from your trips can bring a unique touch to your rental. While travel-inspired artwork is an excellent choice, consider adding pieces that reflect your hobbies and passions. Food prints, literary art, movie posters, or botanical prints can add a bit more of you to your home.  Always keep in mind, art isn't just something to hang on the wall; it's a form of visual motivation, reminding you of the incredible experiences you've had or items that bring you joy.

Textiles

Patterns have the power to infuse a room with personality and energy. But with so many choices out there, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. If your apartment came pre-painted with a color that is not your vibe (I personally always get stuck with pastel rooms) find accent elements in rich hues. You can introduce depth and warmth through richly colored textiles. Consider using colorful drapes to transform the atmosphere of your room. Keep in mind that even a single, solid color can make a strong statement without the need for intricate patterns.

Furniture

When it comes to refreshing your rental space, remember the significant role furniture plays in the design. While you might be familiar with simple DIY techniques like using stick-on vinyl, changing drawer handles, or repainting your furniture, don't underestimate the impact of investing in a striking accent piece. Imagine a stylish lounge chair, a vibrant bookshelf, or some decorative accessories that can instantly infuse color and style into your space.

Personally, I have my sights set on my Ikea dresser for a bold pop of color in my bedroom. Where are you going to start in your home?

Whether it's through the art that tells your unique story, the textiles that add warmth, or the furniture that forms the foundation of your design, there are numerous ways to infuse life and personality into your rental. So, let's embrace creativity and let your space radiate with your distinctive style and vibrant personality!
