Don’t you think there is something so simple, yet fun about a black and white color palette? As we search for inspirational images, we save anything that draws our attention. Reference images can be a product, material, or different style room.
Just because we are conceptualizing a bathroom doesn’t mean we can’t be inspired by other types of spaces. We use concept inspiration boards to help us explore material themes and furniture ideas.
Design Inspiration
High Contrast, Graphic, Bold, Minimal
We loved the high contrast and exploration of patterns that these rooms used. Did you notice the pattern created with the tiles & grout? Highlighting the negative space left between the tile spacing makes for a graphic statement using commonly found construction materials.
Textured wall surfaces are also a great way to add personality to a room. While shiplap can be a bit traditional, how it interacts with the adjoining walls in a space can change the aesthetic pretty easily. The nice thing about tiles is they create a textured surface themselves!
We feel that every room should have at least one statement moment.
